Santa Maria del Mar
Built in just 55 years, from 1329-1384, Santa Maria del Mar is the clearest and most emblematic example of Catalan Gothic architecture. The old La Rivera quarter was, at that time, the center of merchants and ship-owners, reason why Berenguer de Montagut decided to build this temple, replacing the old Parroquia de las Arenas.
